Rwandan Genocide: In 1992 the ethnic group Hutus killed over 500,000 Tutsi people within 100 days. The United Nations created a "safe-zone" for the Hutus and the French intervened in certain parts. Although they did not save all of the lives of the people, they did step into a dangerous situation and fight for the rights of the Tutsis.
North Korea: In North Korea, the people are being led by dictators who do not treat their people well. They are starving to death and are unaware that they are mistreated. The United States has been helping the South Koreans fight against the North for the rights of the North Koreans and has been sending aid to the people. |
